The concerted efforts of the management, staff and students towards all-round development of the institution resulted in the award of Grade'A' by the National Assessment and Accrediation Committee, Peer Team in 2005.

Ms Sujatha, Lecturer, Department of Sociology, was invited to attend the 8th Asian Training and Study Session on "Human Rights" at Bangkok, Thailand from 10th to 30th October, 2004 organized by Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA), Center for Social Development Studies (CSDS), Chulalongkorn University.

Ms Sujatha presented a paper on "The Country Situation", and a strategy paper on 'Human Rights in India-The situation of Dalit students in the Schools of Andhra Pradesh'.

Dr A. Vidya Rani was the only Lady Principal from South India to be selected for the Award of Fulbright Fellowship in 1985 under the Educational Administrators Program to study and observe higher education in USA.

Ms G. Devakrupavaram in 1988 represented Andhra Pradesh at world congress of sports at Seoul, South Korea which coincided with Olympics.

Dr Major Beena Selvaraj (Lecture) was selected for Indo-Canada Youth exchange program in year 1991-92.

Ms. C. Radha Reddy, Lecturer , Dept. of Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics has presented a paper on the topic " Prevalence of Impaired Fasting Glucose and Type 2 Diabetes Among South Indian Urban School Children " at the 68th Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association on June 6th to 10th 2008, held at San Francisco, USA. The results were obtained from a cross-sectional study conducted on 1440 (684 girls and 756 boys) consented school children aged between 10-14 years from Government, semiprivate-aided and private schools. The aim was to estimate the prevalence of impaired fasting glucose and Type 2 Diabetes mellitus among school children in Hyderabad and Secunderabad across different socio-economic status and to identify their association with various risk factors

Dr. Uma Chitra, Head, dept of Nutrition and Dietetics was selected for a Fulbright Visiting lecturer Scholarship in 2009. She was a visiting professor at the dept of Human Nutrition, College of Human Ecology, Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas, USA from August to December 2009. At K State she was the instructor for a graduate course “Nutrition in Developing Countries”. She presented a paper titled “Role of lifestyle variables on the lipid profile of selected South Indian subjects” at the 11th Annual Conference on the Prevention and Treatment of Overweight and Obese Individuals organized by the University of Kansas, Missouri, USA, in September 2009.
She is the recipient of the Fulbright Occasional lecture Program Travel Award and delivered a guest lecture on “Multiple Micronutrient deficiencies in developing countries” at the dept. of Food Science and Human Nutrition, College of Applied Human Sciences, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, USA in October 2009.
She was also a resource person at the K State Research and Extension Annual Conference, held at Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS, USA in October 2009. She presented a paper titled “Nutrition intervention programs in India” and shared her experiences in Community Nutrition in India with Extension agents in the United States.

In the current year the college has been recognised in the top 5 colleges in secunderabad zone and 39 position in the national level.

K. Hemalatha from BCom won three Gold medals at South Korea in Power Lifting in the year 2002. Ms Nandini Perumal, from BCom is an International Tennis player, who represented India in Open Tennis Championship at Nigeria & Palestine. She was also the winner of a Gold medal at the All India Inter University Tournament at Bangalore in January 2004.

Ms Seema Rani Dahiya of BSc (MPC) represented India at the International Youth Exchange Program held at Seoul, South Korea in 2002. She has also represented India from Andhra Pradesh at the Youth Exchange Program held in Russia in October 2003. Incidentally she was the only NCC (Air Wing) cadet from the state to be selected for this honour.
